The emblematic Messager’s Fortunio at the Opéra Comique

The 2019 season ends in style at the Opéra Comique with the revival of an emblematic production (from December 12, 2019). Premiered in 2009, Messager’s Fortunio on a libretto by famous French writer Alfred de Musset was directed by Mr. Denis Podalydès from the Comédie Française. This was his first steps at the Opera and a real success.

Ten years later, the conductor Louis Langrée conducts again with an almost renewed cast. After Le Domino Noir, perfect soprano Anne-Catherine Gillet and tenor Cyrille Dubois meet again with Jean-Sébastien Bou in the leading roles. This poetic opera with delicious music is an absolutely must see!
