A world premiere opens the new 19/20 season of the Royal Theater of La Monnaie in Brussels, on September 20, 2019.

Macbeth Underworld by Pascal Dusapin is directed by Thomas Jolly and conducted by Alain Altinoglu with a brilliant cast. Georg Nigl performs as Shakespeare hero Macbeth and Magdalena Kožená and Sophie Marilley share the role of Lady Macbeth.

Performances are expected in March 2020 at the Opéra-Comique, co-commission of this new opera.
